Lingerie Football League to forgo 2012 season

Spokesman Jim Wallin said Thursday the LFL will resume playing in April 2013 on the spring-summer playing schedule. He admits that the hiatus will even allow the league to focus on launching in Canada this fall and free U.S. players to sign up inside a promotional all-star tour.

The All Fantasy Tour will become in Mexico City later, as well as dates in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia, and perhaps cities in Asia later that year.

The LFL, that is located in West Hollywood, Calif., offers to launch a league around australia in 2013. The 3-year-old LFL features all-female, seven-member teams playing in lingerie and football pads.

There were 11 U.S. cities to own teams a year ago Baltimore, Chicago, Cleveland, Green Bay, Sin City, Chicago, Minneapolis Orlando, Philadelphia, Seattle and Tampa.

Pregnant malaysian shooter to compete in London Olympics

Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi will probably be shooting for just two on the London Olympics.

The Malaysian shooter is going to be eight months pregnant when she’s scheduled to participate in the 10m air rifle event this summer. Her doctors have given her the tentative OK to compete, as has her husband and Malaysian Olympic officials. Most of all, Suryani feels she’ll prepare yourself.

“My aim is to compete,” she told Reuters. “Maybe, at the end of June or whatsoever, if I have some problem that would jeopardize the baby inside me, I will reconsider whether I am going or not. But I feel I am strong and my husband says ‘as long as you feel like that, energized to do that, it seems like that is your baby talking to you so you go.’”

Suryani qualified for the Games on the Asian Shooting Championships in January, days after discovering she was pregnant. She is aware that many people will question her decision to compete — members of the family and a few in Malaysia curently have — but with the doctor’s blessings, Suryani doesn’t expect any problems.
